Advice for people with MS

If you have MS, you have the same risk of contracting COVID-19 is the same as anyone else.  However, you may at risk of more complications that others if you did catch COVID-19. 

Both the  MS Trust and the MS Society have a range of information that may help.

Advice for people with ME (CFS)

The Government has issued advice for people who are considered extremely vulnerable.  ME is not included on this list however we understand that you will be concerned and want to keep yourself safe and well.  Our friends at Action for ME and the ME Association

have some useful information on their websites.

Advice for people with Fibromylagia

Fibromyalgia is not considered neurodegenerative therefore if you have Fibromyalgia you are at no more risk of COVID-19 than someone without Fibro.  However, we want to ensure you have access to information that is specifically aimed at people living with Fibro to help you to manage during this pandemic.

Fibromyalgia Action UK has further information that may be of assistance.

Advice for people with Cancer

The constant news about COVID-19 can be worrying.  People with cancer and their families might feel especially worried about the virus as certain cancer treatments can lower your ability to fight infection. 

There is great advice and information on the Cancer Research and Macmillan Cancer Support  websites.

Advice for people with Chest, Heart & Stroke Conditions

People with underlying conditions such as chest, heart or stroke conditions may be at higher risk of complications should they contract COVID-19.  The good news is, you are at no greater risk of catching COVID-19 than anyone else.  

Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland and the British Heart Foundation have some useful information on their websites that may help. 

Advice for people with Parkinson's

There is support aimed at people living with Parkinson's and their families who will undoubtedly be worried about the situation in relation to COVID-19. 

Parkinson's UK have a range of information and support for people living with Parkinson's during this difficult time.
