There are lots of websites that can support you and your mental health, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown. 

However we have found Mental Health UK

's website a brilliant source of information.  Whether you are looking for ways to care for your mental health while working from home, if you are worried about your mental health due to social distancing and even how to boost your mental health from your own home.

Speak to someone on a helpline

It's okay not to be okay.  This is true now more than ever.  If you are struggling and you need to talk there are many organisations you can turn to.

If you live in the Highlands you can text Mikeysline on 07779 303 303 for support.

Breathing Space is a free, confidential phone and web service for people in Scotland. Their helpline number is 0800 83 85 87.

Mental health charity Mind offers lots of support on their website but also has a dedicated phone service 0300 123 3393

Treat Yourself

There are lots of things you can do to lift your mood and banish those grey day feeling despite the restrictions.

You could;

  • chat on the phone with family/friends

  • watch your favourite feel good movie

  • have a bubble bath

  • enjoy a good book

  • spend time in your garden

  • treat yourself to a face massage

  • get dressed up for dinner in

  • listen to your favourite album

  • create an online playlist of your all time favourite songs

  • keep a gratefulness journal

  • practice meditation
